Woman Killed After Driving Into Home, Utility Pole: Palatine P.D.

The single-car crash occurred at around 3 p.m. Monday, according to the Palatine Police Department.

PALATINE, IL — A woman was killed Monday afternoon after driving into a home and utility post, among other fixed objects, according to the Palatine Police Department. The single-car crash occurred at around 2:54 p.m. at the intersection of S. Quentin Road and W. Hillside Street.

The name and age of the deceased, who was the only occupant of the car, had not been released at the time of this report. Palatine firefighters responded to the scene and the driver was pronounced dead there.

The home the vehicle struck was damaged and remains inhabitable as of Monday night.

Traffic on S. Quentin Road was closed in both directions between W. Kenilworth Avenue and W. Glencoe Road during the crash investigation. The Major Care Assistance Team's Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction unit is assisting Palatine police with the investigation.
