Woman Shot In Car On Expressway Near Rolling Meadows: Police

The ramp from Euclid Avenue to Route 53 southbound was closed for nearly an hour Wednesday morning as police investigated the shooting.

ROLLING MEADOWS, IL — A woman was taken to an area hospital after being shot while in her vehicle Wednesday morning near Rolling Meadows. According to Illinois State Police, the incident happened around 8:40 a.m. at the ramp from Euclid Road to state Route 53 southbound.

The woman has non-life-threatening injuries.

Around 9:06 a.m., the ramp from Euclid to Route 53 southbound was closed for the investigation. All lanes were reopened by 9:49 a.m.
