AURORA, IL — Six seats in Aurora will be up for grabs in the 2027 consolidated election taking place April 6.
Voters will select an alderperson-at-large as well as representatives for Wards 1, 3, 5, 6 and 8.
Prospective candidates can begin filing petitions Oct. 19. The filing period will end Oct. 26. Once petitions are filed, candidates will have until Nov. 2 to file objections to nominating petitions.
The lottery to determine ballot placement will be held on or before Nov. 4. The exact date and time has yet to be determined.
