AURORA, IL — With the month of all things spooky still some weeks away, Spirit Halloween is getting ready for the season.
Spirit Halloween, known as the world's largest specialty Halloween retailer, will open 56 stores in Illinois, including one in Aurora.
Most Spirit stores pop up annually in empty retail buildings. In Aurora, it opened in September at 732 Route 59, the former Harlem Furniture building.
The location is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.

"For many Halloween fans, visiting Spirit has become an annual tradition and the unofficial start of the season.
