• Dubuque Selected to Join 'Love Your Block,' Partnering with Residents to Improve Neighborhoods (dubuqueinpursuitnews.com) — Aurora has been named one of just 25 cities in the country to join the new round of the Love Your Block program, backed by Bloomberg's Center for Public Innovation. While this release spotlights Dubuque's plans, Aurora will receive similar support and funding for small, resident-led projects that clean up blocks, reclaim public spaces, and strengthen ties between neighbors and City Hall.
   

• Streator man convicted in 2021 murder of 29-year old Aurora man (chicagotribune.com) — An Aurora man's 2021 shooting death in nearby Montgomery has led to a first-degree murder conviction for a Streator resident, who now faces at least 45 years in prison. Kane County prosecutors detailed how the victim was shot multiple times on a Route 30 ramp while his young child and a friend were in the car.
