2nd Annual Wonderdog Walk

Celebrate furry friends & raise money for a great local organization supporting to families with critically ill/medically fragile kids

The Wonderdog Walk for Normal Moments is a fundraising event to celebrate the role our wonderful pets play in our health and well-being. We are thrilled to welcome both old and new friends, both human & canine, for our 2nd Annual Wonderdog Walk. Proceeds provide ongoing supportive services to parents with critically ill/medically complex children.

WHAT: Wonderdog Walk 2016 – 1 and 2 mile (approx) routes available

WHEN: April 24th. Registration / Check in from 10 AM – 11 AM

LOCATION: Ned Brown Meadow (GPS Location) in Busse Woods, Elk Grove Village

COST: $15 per walker – adult human or canine. Each adult is welcome to bring up to 2 kids. Rent-a-Dogs available if you don’t have your own. (Rent-a-Dog donations go directly to our rescue partner.)

The first 24 sets of walkers will receive a special gift at check-in, so submit your registration today! All owned dogs registered by March 21st will receive a Wonderdog Cape and there will be treats for everyone.

We welcome Fetching Tails, a local rescue organization, to the event. If you don't have a dog of your own, you can "rent-a-dog" for the event. If all goes well, you can even start the adoption process on site,.

This year, we are featuring the amazing talents of Mark Faragoi and his amazing dog, Riley - champion Frisbee dog. We'll post some videos, but feel free to search them. They'll be bringing some friends along as well.

Dog trainer, Rachel Fein of Cloud K9 Academy will also be on site doing training demostrations and answering your training questions.

REGISTRATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY MARCH 21 TO GUARANTY YOUR DOG(S) THEIR WONDERDOG CAPE(S)!

The Ned Brown Meadow is part of the Busse Woods Forest Preserve. Our walk does not follow paved paths, so wear appropraite footwear. If you are using a GPS to access the location, please enter Ned Brown Meadow, which takes you to the Golf Road entrance. Entering Busse Woods will take you quite a distance away from the event.
