After Care Home for Victims of Human Trafficking Coming to Chicago

Fundraising Event for Victims of Human Trafficking

In the Chicagoland area, an estimated 16,000 - 25,000 women and girls are victims of commercial sexual exploitation each year. Chicago is considered to be a national hub for sex trafficking.

Refuge For Women is an after care home for women who have been sexually exploited. When our home opens in the NW Suburbs in July of this year, we will be the first long term after care home in Cook County for women over 18 who have been exploited. Refuge For Women - Chicago will offer a new beginning to these women through a residential family setting where healing can take place.

They key aspects of our program are sobriety, healing from trauma, rebuilding trust, and developing a relationship with Jesus Christ. We are hosting an event on April 25th to raise awareness for the victims of human trafficking and to raise funds to cover their housing and program costs.
