Barrington Bank & Trust presented five $1,000 scholarships to local high school seniors through its Community Scholarship Program. The awards were given to students who will attend an accredited technical school, college or university in the fall. This year’s recipients were: Taquis Anderson, Schaumburg High School; Natalia Bedtke, Lake Park High School; Kimberlee George, Streamwood High School; Amy Reidy, William Fremd High School; and Ana Maria Quiroga, Palatine High School.

“This year’s scholarships went to a really dynamic and deserving group,” said Barrington Bank & Trust Chairman & CEO Brad Stetson. “These young women have worked very hard and we know they will go on to make their communities proud.”

The scholarship awards were based on academic achievement, financial need, character, and school and community contributions. The Barrington Bank & Trust Scholarship Committee selected scholarship recipients. Checks were presented to each student at a recent photo shoot.
