The Arboretum of South Barrington is excited to announce the opening of Star Cinema Grill to take the place of the former IPIC Theaters. Slated to open in the Spring of 2022, the 38,000 sf, state-of-the art theater is a welcomed addition to The Arboretum’s established roster of dining and entertainment options.

The Houston based dine-in-theater concept will bring first run films, an extensive menu and a full-service bar opening Spring of 2022 as it expands its Illinois footprint of theaters.

Star Cinema Grill will offer cinematic technology and an elegant, modern food and beverage experience. Upgrades include new premium recliner seats, all with seat heaters as well as full service beverage and dining available. It will also feature Star Cinema Grill’s Premium Pod Seating, which have added amenities such as privacy walls, blankets and priority food and beverage service.

The Arboretum of South Barrington is a 480,000 sf shopping center located in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. Considered the downtown district of South Barrington, The Arboretum has become a destination for dining, entertainment and shopping with a trade area reach of over 30 miles.
