Barrington Dance Ensemble Presents "Coppélia"
BDE presents Coppelia: June 12th & 13th!
Coppélia is a lighthearted, comedic ballet that tells the story of Swanilda and Franz, whose romance is tested when Franz becomes enamored with Coppélia, a mysterious girl who sits motionless on a balcony. When Swanilda discovers that Coppélia is actually a life-sized doll created by the eccentric inventor Dr. Coppélius, she disguises herself as the doll to teach Franz a lesson and restore harmony. Filled with charm, humor, and joyful village dances, Coppélia celebrates love, forgiveness, and the magic of ballet.
