Streamwood Park District Harvest Fest on Saturday, October 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Hoosier Grove Park, 700 W. Irving Park Road.

Nothing says fall like changing leaves, hayrides, and hot apple cider. Join the Streamwood Park District as we celebrate the start of fall with Harvest Fest on Saturday, October 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Hoosier Grove Park, 700 W. Irving Park Road.

Harvest Fest, formerly known as Pumpkinfest, has activities and entertainment for all ages. For kids, there is the annual Harvest Fest Kiddie Run. Children, ages 3 to 11, are invited to compete in a short race that will wind through Hoosier Grove Park. Awards will be given to the first through third place finishers in various age groups for boys and girls. Every child will receive a participation ribbon and t-shirt. Registration and check-in begins at 9:15 a.m. Fees are $12 for residents and $18 for nonresidents. On race day, prices are $15 and $22, respectively. Other children’s activities include a bounce house, pumpkin decorating, pony rides, tractor-pulled wagon rides, treasure in the haystack, and more.

New this year will be live entertainment on the park district’s main stage with Radio Misfits performing from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. In addition, the Streamwood Park District’s Dance Company, Starlight will also perform. Other Harvest Fest activities include Magician Kevin Kelly, wood carvers, Halloween tattoos, concessions, beer garden, and more.
