The McHenry County Historical Society and Museum Heritage Quilters holds an event featuring the red and white quilts of the museum called "Seeing Red." Featured speaker Sherry Branson, a professional quilt appraiser, will speak about the history of red dyes and quilting. Attendants are encouraged to bring their own favorite quilt for a "show and tell" after the lecture. The event also includes a drawing for a "Gingham Baskets" quilt.
