South Barrington Park District Battle of the Bands

The South Barrington Park District has announced the bands performing in the South Barrington Park District Battle of the Bands on Thursday, July 14, 2011.  Bands participating in the event will be Chupacabra, Scissors Beats Paper, The Draconian Crusade, Flounder Gus, and Remnants of Stars.   

Doors open on July 14th at 6:00pm and band performances will begin at 6:30pm on the outdoor pool deck at the South Barrington Community Center located at 3 Tennis Club Lane in South Barrington.  In case of inclement weather the event will be moved indoors at the Community Center.

The South Barrington Battle of the Bands is a local competition of the Illinois Park and Recreation Association’s Teen Battle of the Bands.  The winner of the South Barrington local Battle of the Bands will win the opportunity to play in the Algonquin Regional event at Towne Park/Founders Day in Algonquin on Saturday, July 30th at 1:00pm.  The winner of the Algonquin Regional will advance to the state level of the competition. The South Barrington local band with the largest number of audience members will receive a percentage of the gate.   Admission to the event is $5 per person, payable at the door.
