Montessori Children’s House of North Barrington Helps The Pajama Program Organization.

The children of Montessori Children’s House of North Barrington have collected over 100 pairs of pajamas to be donated to the Pajama Program Organization.

The All School Pajama Drive ran from May 9th - May 20th. The children helped to keep track of our goal of collecting 100 pairs of pajamas. These new pajamas will be donated to children in need throughout Northern Illinois.

Built in 1970 with a unique design to emphasize our appreciation of the natural world, Montessori Children’s House of North Barrington (MCHNB) is nestled among the rolling hills of the northwest suburbs, where children enjoy a park-like 3-acre campus with educational programs serving children from birth through age six. The Nature Explore Certified Outdoor Classroom plays a major role in the Montessori learning environment.

Applications are being accepted for our accredited Summer Camp program which serves children ages 2 - 7 and includes twice weekly swimming lessons, as well as educational experiences led by certified Montessori teachers.

MCHNB is a lab school of Seton Montessori Institute, one of the largest Montessori teacher education programs in North America. As a result, the children are exposed to the most current and progressive teaching methods in an authentic Montessori classroom.

Anna Perry, the Head of the School, says: “For more than forty years, our school has chosen to focus on this most important time in every child’s life – from before birth to age six – because it is the foundation from which the rest of their life experiences will grow.”
