Pizza with a Purpose - 10/10/13

On Thursday, October 10 Pizza with a Purpose will be held at Cooper's Pizza on 117 S. Hough Street. 50% of the proceeds will be donated back to Hands of Hope. The BHS students look forward to seeing you there!

Hands of Hope, a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization was established in 1999 and is dedicated to helping women and children in crisis.  In 2009, several Barrington High School students had the opportunity to volunteer at the Barrington Country Garden & Antique Faire.  This all volunteer effort and the programs supported by Hands of Hope inspired us to start Hands of Hope Teens.  We are now a group of over 50 Barrington High School students working to raise funds and awareness of the life threatening issues facing women and children globally.

In the past few years we have raised over $55,000 to build two wells in rural Uganda and a new high school in Zambia. After two years of dedication to the project, we would like to ensure that this school will be one of the biggest educational institutions in Zambia. Accordingly, we will also fundraise to end malnutrition in Zambia.
