Tickets on Sale for Barrington Youth Dance Ensemble's 'The Nutcracker'
The Nutcracker will return the first weekend in December.

Barrington Youth Dance Ensemble (BYDE) will present its 17th annual production of The Nutcracker on Dec. 2, 3 and 4 at Tickets are now on sale for this exquisite production that has become a beloved area holiday tradition.
This year’s cast will feature returning guest artists Melanie & Jason Hortin and Jessica Wolfrum of River North Dance Chicago; Luke Manley, Elizabeth McGleam, and Abdelazis Rogue. Ms. Hiroko Sakakibara will once again thrill audiences as The Sugar Plum Fairy, her Cavalier will be performed by her husband, Mr. Simon Sliva, both are prior members of Complexions Contemporary Ballet, New York. A truly romantic pas de deux is promised!
Guest artists performing for the first time with BYDE in the 2011 Nutcracker include Katie Miller and Phillip Ollenburg from NoMi LaMaD Dance Inc. and Joseph Schuman of Cerqua Rivera Dance Theatre, Chicago and Chelsea DuBois. We are also thrilled that BYDE Alumna, Stephanie Cihlar, who most recently danced with Modern American Dance Company in St. Louis, will be joining us again for this Nutcracker production.

Our heroine, Clara, will be performed by BYDE company members Becca May of Barrington Hills and Alexandra Skopek of Barrington. Additional Barrington area student dancers performing in the 2011 BYDE Nutcracker production are:

Tickets for the 2011 Nutcracker are currently on sale at www.BYDE.org or by calling BYDE at 847-382-6333.
Performance times and ticket prices are as follows:
Friday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 3 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and Sunday, December 4 at 2 p.m
Preferred seating is $28.00 per ticket, adult seating is $25.00 per ticket, seniors & students are $22.00 per ticket. Balcony seating for the evening performances is available at a special discounted price of $15.00 per ticket. Online purchasing is available for “Best Available” seating at $27.00 per ticket. Organizations of 10 or more, please call BYDE at 847-382-6333 for group rates for the Friday and Saturday evening performances.
