Village of Lake Barrington Officials Attend "First Look" of Advocate Good Shepherd Expansion
Advocate Good Shepherd showcases new state-of-the-art hospital

LAKE BARRINGTON — Village of Lake Barrington officials, including Trustees Connie Schofield and Jim Thompson, attended a first look of the newly expanded and updated Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital on Saturday, May 14.Village Trustees, along with the local Lake Barrington community, were invited to participate in tours, giveaways and family activities, including free bike helmets and infant car seats safety checks at the new hospital facility.
Good Shepherd Hospital showcased their newly enhanced patient care experience through tours of their new private patient rooms, operating rooms and breast center, which all now offer both increased privacy and use of the most advanced technology. The tours showcased how Good Shepherd has improved the layout of the facility to make it more convenient to access inpatient and outpatient destinations. As part of the event, live entertainment was provided by 105.5 FM and a free lunch was donated by Panera Bread.
“As a long-standing and prized institution in our community, Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital has a demonstrated record of excellence and dedication to the all who walk through its doors for care. With the completion of their new facility, people from across the region will benefit from the highest levels of patient-care and have access to the latest technologies in the fight against illness and disease. The newly expanded Good Shepherd is positioned to serve the community for generations to come,” said Kevin Richardson, Village of Lake Barrington president.

The hospital’s additional new features include a new diagnostic testing and imaging center and green roofs that provide energy-conservation insulation. This more comfortable environment will enable Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital to continue providing exceptional care for Lake Barrington and the surrounding communities.
