18-Year-Old Dies After Car Crashes Into Tree On Route 25: Police
Police said the Batavia man was the only person in the car that hit a tree "for an unknown reason" Saturday morning.
BATAVIA, IL — An 18-year-old man from Batavia died Saturday morning after his car crashed into a tree on Route 25, according to police.
William Marston was driving south on Route 25 around 7:45 a.m. when his Volkswagen Jetta veered off the road "for an unknown reason" and hit a tree between Bond Drive and Banbury Road in unincorporated Batavia Township, according to the initial investigation, police said.
The 18-year-old was pronounced dead on the scene, police said. He was the sole occupant of the sedan.

The 0.4-mile stretch of road on Route 25 was closed for about three hours Saturday while officials investigated the crash. The investigation is open and being conducted by detectives from the Kane County Sheriff's Office.
