3 Cars Stolen, Windows At 4 Shops Shattered After Burglary: BPD

BATAVIA, IL — Three cars were stolen and windows at four Batavia businesses were shattered during a Thursday morning burglary, according to police.

Police were called to the 1400 block of Louis Bork Drive around 5:52 a.m. for a report of a burglary that was potentially ongoing at the time. When they arrived and talked to the caller, police said they found four businesses with shattered windows and damaged doors but no possible suspects inside.

During an investigation, three cars were stolen from one of the businesses, a car dealership. Officials said nothing else appears to have been stolen from the other businesses.

Police described the unregistered cars:

• 2016 gray Nissan Altima
• 2017 black Chevrolet Silverado
• 2019 gray Ram 1500 Bighorn/Lonestar

Police said they're currently following leads and assured the community there is no active safety threat regarding the incident.
