7 Candidates File For Batavia Alderperson Election
All but one of the candidates are incumbents.
BATAVIA, IL — Seven candidates have filed petitions to run for alderperson in the upcoming consolidated election.
In Batavia, one of two spots in each of the city's seven wards is up for reelection. That leaves one alderperson per ward whose term runs for another two years, expiring in 2025.
- Ward 1: Christopher Solfa, who joined City Council in 2021
- Ward 2: Alan Wolff, who joined City Council in 2003
- Ward 3: Dan Chanzit, who joined City Council in 2010
- Ward 4: Thomas Connelly, who joined City Council in 2021
- Ward 5: Abby Beck, who joined City Council in 2019
- Ward 6: Tim Lanci
- Ward 7: Keenan Miller, who joined City Council in 2019
Of the candidates, Lanci is the only one who is not an incumbent.
