Activity Lineup For Batavia MainStreet's BatFest Released
This year's BatFest will feature downtown Batavia trick-or-treating, a Halloween parade, magicians and balloons, and a pet costume contest.
BATAVIA, IL — Not-for-profit organization Batavia MainStreet is bringing BatFest, a Halloween-themed family event, back to downtown Batavia Oct. 29.
The event, "sure to be a great time," according to organizers, will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. According to Batavia MainStreet, BatFest attracts more than 2,500 "ghouls."
With BatFest a little more than a month away, organizers released a list of activities planned for the day. Take a look at it below.

- Downtown trick-or-treating: 10 a.m. to noon
- Final farmers' market of the season: 10 a.m. to noon
- Incredible bats at Bocaditos Cafe: 10 a.m. to noon
- Wazio Pumpkin Roll hosted by Boy Scout Troop 6
- Magician and balloons: 10 a.m. to noon
- BatFest stories at Batavia Public Library Reading Garden: 11:30 a.m. to 11:50 a.m.
- Reptile show at Wilson Street Mercantile: 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
- Mother's Club Halloween parade: 11:50 a.m.
- Performances at Peg Bond Center: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Costume contest at Peg Bond Center: 12:15 p.m.
- Batavia Animal Clinic Pet Costume Contest at Peg Bond Center: 1:00 p.m.
