An Afternoon with Theodore Roosevelt

Joe Weigand portrays the 26th President

“An Afternoon with Theodore Roosevelt,” a Sundays on Stage program, will be presented 2 p.m., September 27, at the Batavia Public Library. A weak and sickly boy in New York City built his body and became a rough-riding cowboy and the 26th President of the United States. From confronting barroom bullies in the Dakota Territory to battling the trusts of Wall Street, Theodore Roosevelt preached and lived the strenuous life. Join Colonel Roosevelt, as portrayed by Joe Wiegand, on adventures from Washington, D.C., to Yosemite National Park, British East Africa, and the Amazon jungle of Brazil. Wiegand has performed in film and television shows and as Teddy Roosevelt at the White House for President George W. Bush. Registration is required for this Sundays on Stage program. Register online at www.BataviaPublicLibrary or call the library Reference Desk, (630) 879-1393, ext. 200. Sundays on Stage is sponsored by the Batavia Public Library Foundation.
