BATAVIA, IL — The Holiday Lantern Walk returns Nov. 13 to downtown Batavia, kicking off the holiday season with twinkling lights and longer shopping hours.
From 5-9 p.m. that Friday, locals and visitors can enjoy an evening of shopping, dining and festive fun while sidewalks will be aglow with lanterns and shops will be open later than usual. Event-goers will also have the option to ride the holiday trolley from one side of town to the other.
Batavia MainStreet is taking the festive event a step further this year by offering wine tickets to adults. For $25, participants will receive 12 tickets for one-ounce pours at participating businesses.
A list of businesses participating in the Holiday Lantern Walk has not yet been released.
