BATAVIA, IL — Emagine in Batavia will celebrate Veterans Day by offering free movie tickets to veterans and active military personnel.
On Nov. 11, which falls on a Wednesday this year, military service members can go to the theater, at 550 N. Randall Road, to see a movie of their choice for free.
Any movie on any format — including the SuperEMX, considered the largest movie theater screen in the state — is fair game.
To redeem the one-day-only offer, guests must show either a service ID card or discharge papers.
Tickets cannot be purchased in advance. Instead, movie-goers must claim the ticket at the box office that Wednesday.
Emagine is showing multiple new releases, including Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim's hit documentary, "You Can See Everything," as well as new horror movies "Clayface," "Resident Evil" and "Other Mommy." The new adaptation of "Sense and Sensibility" is also out, as is the fantasy comedy-drama "Wicker," starring Olivia Coleman and Alexander Skarsgard.
