
Batavia Enterprises, Inc. (BEI), a locally owned leasing and property management company, is pleased to announce the promotion of Julie Kotalik to Project Manager. As Project Manager, Ms. Kotalik will direct and coordinate commercial build outs and major construction projects and will continue to oversee the marketing program under the leadership of BEI Vice President Austin Dempsey.
Ms. Kotalik was previously the BEI Special Projects Coordinator, working with customers and contractors to maintain and improve the wide variety of properties in the BEI commercial portfolio. Additionally, Ms. Kotalik oversaw building specific projects, such as construction build outs for new customers in many of the company’s historical buildings and also handled the marketing responsibilities.
“Julie has been an outstanding Special Projects Coordinator. She is more than ready to take the next step and assume management responsibilities for our building projects in our commercial buildings. Over the past two years, she has demonstrated an ability to complete projects on time and within budget guidelines. We’re excited for Julie to assume this vital position within our company,” said BEI Vice President Austin Dempsey.

Ms. Kotalik graduated Magna Cum Laude from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois. She is currently working on her MBA from NIU with a scheduled graduation date of August 2012. In addition, Kotalik is working on a Project Management Professional certification through the Project Management Institute. This rigorous program requires 4,500 hours of leading and directing project tasks within a three year time frame, plus 35 hours of formal project management continuing education.
In 2011, Ms. Kotalik was selected to be a member of the Batavia Chamber of Commerce’s “30 Under 30” recognition program for her outstanding volunteer and leadership efforts within the Batavia community.

Kotalik was a founding member and is vice president of the Fox Valley Young Professionals Network. She also volunteers with the Fox Valley Volunteer Hospice while serving on their Nominating and Development Committee. Kotalik is a member of the Batavia Fireworks Committee, volunteers with the Boy Scouts of America, Batavia United Way and helps with the arts movement in downtown Batavia by volunteering at the Art In Your Eye Fine Art Show. She regularly supports the Batavia Chamber of Commerce, Batavia Women in Business, and the Batavia MainStreet Organization events.
