
MOVES Dance Studio is celebrating National Dance Week (April 22 – May 1, 2011) by hosting a series of events including a free learn to dance day. Free dance classes will be offered Saturday, April 30th from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for young people age three to eighteen.
Other free activities include a dance essay contest, offering of Brownie and Girl Scout fieldtrips to Moves and providing free dance outreach programs to the local schools. Program leaders are invited to call for more information regarding the outreach opportunities.
National Dance Week was first held more than twenty years ago and celebrates the benefits and beauty of dance and its ability to enrich our lives, our bodies, our spirit and our culture. The performing arts reflect the richness and diversity of the human spirit. The importance of the arts in our lives is being realized now more than eer. Moves Dance Studio’s Founder and Artistic Director, Kimberly Farah commented “The arts are necessary tools in helping young people achieve their full potential”.

On Saturday April 30th free dance classes for students ages 3-18 begin at 11:00a.m. Classes offered include; Broadway Babies, Dancing Stars, Hip Hop and Jazz Pre-registration is necessary by calling 630-264-6300, or by e-mail at info@movesdance.com.
