Art in Your Mind

The first of three fine art programs at the Library during August

The Batavia Public Library is offering three fine art lectures in August in conjunction with Batavia’s Art in Your Eye Fine Arts Festival, August 14-16. The first program will be presented at 7 p.m., on August 5. During “Art in Your Mind,” painter Ezra Siegel will talk about how we see images and explain how one can improve one’s visual literacy, especially related to viewing art. Siegel has earned numerous Best in Show and First Prizes for painting, and recognition by numerous juries, such as the Illinois Arts Council and Art Loop Open. One of his paintings is featured on the 2015 Art in Your Eye poster. Register online at www.BataviaPublicLibrary.org or call the library’s Reference Desk, (630) 879-1393, ext. 200.
