Auditions: The Legend of Sleepy Hollow (St Charles)
Vero Voce School of Performing Arts in St Charles will be auditioning young actors ages 7-18, by appointment for THE LEGEND OF SLEEPY HOLLOW
(ST CHARLES) Vero Voce School of Performing Arts in St Charles will be auditioning young actors ages 7-18 by appointment on September 14, 2014 for The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Directed by David Rodriguez (Vero Voce Theater Artistic Director) and produced by Dennis Brown, performances will run Saturdays at 1:00pm and 4:30pm and Sundays at 3:00pm, November 1-9, 2014.
Vero Voce was established in 2001 specializing in private voice, piano lessons and musical theatre coaching. It expanded into a 7,000 square foot facility with multiple studios, classrooms, and a theatre in St Charles. Vero Voce is known for its unique theater teaching style, with elements of improvisation, actor input, characterization, scene study, tech awareness and confidence building.
Ichabod Crane is looking for a good life and a wealthy wife who will supply it. Once he sets eyes on the local beauty, Katrina Van Tassel, he’s sure his dream will come true. Unhappily for Ichabod, Katrina has a boyfriend who’s extremely jealous... the boisterous Brom Bones. To complicate matters the graveyard is haunted by a small army of restless spirits, including the most famous phantom of all, the Headless Horseman. At a party, Ichabod proposes marriage to Katrina, but is booted out by Brom and forced to make his way home through a terrible storm. In the dark, there’s something shadowy and towering intent on taking Ichabod’s life — the Headless Horseman! Poor Ichabod has to outrun the galloping phantom! Does he? No one knows for sure because the schoolmaster is never seen again.

Auditions will be held at Vero Voce, 951 State Ave., Ste F, St Charles, Illinois by appointment only on Sunday, September 14, 2014 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. To make an audition appointment, please fill out the audition registration form online at http://www.verovoce.com/audition-form or call 630-584-0139. Actors need to prepare a one minute monologue. These are tuition based productions.
