Aurora Student to Perform as 'Turk' in Disney's Tarzan Musical

Aurora's own Keith Mankowski to Perform as 'Turk' in this weekends Spotlight Youth Theater's musical production of Disney's Tarzan.

Written by Shawn Eident

Keith Mankowski, 17, takes on the fun and exciting role of Turk in our Spotlight Production of “Tarzan”. Funny both on stage and off stage you will thoroughly enjoy Keith as he plays the role of Turk. Turk is Tarzan’s best friend, one who helps keep Tarzan out of trouble, or maybe it’s that he helps him find trouble?! Either way, these two find themselves having having lots of fun together.

Keith has played Turk before and has enjoyed being able to bring life to Turk again. Keith feels that this second time around he has been able to work even more on his singing. In particular, his tenor notes, which sound fantastic! Keith also says that it’s nice not to have to memorize any new lines!
With this being Keith’s 16th production, he has performed in many favorites such as Oklahoma, Shrek, Aladdin, Hairspray, Robin Hood, Pocohontas, and Jungle Book. When asked what his favorite production has been, he says there are two- Oklahoma and Shrek- with Shrek also being his favorite role that he has played.
