BATAVIA, IL — ArtBar, a successful event in Aurora for 10 years, is expanding to a monthly pop-up gallery at Batavia's Sidecar Supper Club & Beer Garden.

In Aurora, ArtBar has showcased local and national artists and musicians in a monthly First Friday pop-up gallery at Two Brothers Round House. In Batavia, organizers said the event makes sense given the city's "strong past with folk-art."

"It's time we embrace that part of our history and revitalize that scene," reads the event's description on Facebook.

The event will happen monthly as part of Second Friday offerings in the city. The inaugural show, where the restaurant will feature a new late-night menu, will take place from 7 p.m. to midnight Friday, and the second event is set for Feb. 11.
