Award Winning Faith Based Dance Team In Batavia

Batavia, IL – The Attic Christian Arts Center was recognized this in July at The Rainbow Dance Competition Nationals event in the Wisconsin Dells with one double platinum and four platinum awards. Under the direction of Aimee Healy, Stephanie Marlatt, and Katelyn Phillips, the dance team of twenty-five completed their regular competitive season at Rainbow’s Regional event in Downers Grove in April with a double platinum, first place overall award for their pom team and nine additional platinum awards for their jazz, lyrical, modern, and contemporary dances.

For preschool to high school, the center provides a faith based experience with clean, age-appropriate music, content, and moves as well as modest costumes. The Attic is beginning it’s fourth year and is a place where adults and children can shake off some of their troubles and struggles and be reminded of a message of hope. The Attic offers youth dance as well as some drama opportunities and six competitive dance teams. For adults there are hula hoop fitness and ballroom classes as well as private lessons. The pricing is competitive with other recreational type programs within the community.

The Attic Christian Arts Center will offer a minimum of six competitive dance teams for 2014-15. Recreational levels do not require an assessment and can register now. To qualify dancers must have completed at least one year of dance and be 8 years old.
