Batavia Blotter: 3 Parents Report Kids Missing Oct. 4
Three separate incidents are reported on the same day.

The following items are from the Batavia Police Department “Daily Report Synopsis, Media/Public Version” for the week of Oct. 1 through Oct. 8, 2013.
Juvenile Reported Missing, Returned Home
A missing Batavia High School juvenile was located and returned home around 3 p.m. Oct. 4, after the 17-year-old’s father reported that the young man had not returned home from school and was missing for 24 hours. The 17-year-old’s name was entered into LEADS, and he was subsequently found.

15-Year-Old Jumps From Car
According to a report filed at 2:49 p.m. Oct. 4, a 15-year-old jumped out of the teen's mom’s car and fled on foot in the 100 block of West Wilson Street when she announced that the teen was going to be placed in a drug rehabilitation program. The juvenile’s name was placed into LEADS.

16-Year-Old Returns Home
According to a report filed at 3:58 p.m. Oct. 4, a complainant reported that his son, 16, did not return home from school. At 4:44 p.m., the 16-year-old did return home.
