Batavia Garage Fire Causes $30,000 Damage

A garage fire in the 1100 block of S. Batavia Avenue caused $30,000 damage, Batavia Fire Department stated in a written release. No one was injured in the fire that occurred on Monday.

When firefighters arrived, the two-car garage was fully involved. Batavia Fire Department was assisted by Geneva Fire Department, Batavia Police Department and Kane County Sheriff. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
