Batavia High School Presents - MAMMA MIA!

Batavia High School proudly presents Mamma Mia at the Batavia Fine Arts Centre Thursday, November 7th, Friday November 8th and Saturday November 9th at 7:30 pm. Mamma Mia! is the acclaimed mega-hit that has audiences dancing in the aisles. After its 1999 Premiere in London, the beloved jukebox musical made its Broadway debut in 2002 and went on to gather five Tony Award nominations. The story revolves around a wedding on a Greek island, to which the bride, Sophie, has invited her three possible fathers. Hilarity ensues. Sophie discovers what she really wants, her fabulously independent mother, Donna, rediscovers her youth and everyone else pretty much has a jolly good time.
A cast of 45 BHS student actors are already deep in rehearsal to bring this party to life! Freshmen: Abe Alley, Miranda Balok, Rachel Blahnik, TJ Borre, Gemma Cohen, Ashlyn Garrity, Ronni Gustin, Chloe Nelson, Clara Patterson and Alana Plourde. Sophmores: Addie Bloom, Lorelai Burke, Ally Cooper, Claire Dean, Timothy Gustin, Will Lambert, Anna Laurich, Desert McGarr, Emma Myers, Kayla Giesen, Zoe Weeks, Kohl Winkle. Juniors: Anthony Barranco, Sofia Bellafiore, Mackenzie Benkers, Ella Canniff, Vivien Cohen, Tom Hougen, Ava Little, Venessa Plourde, Matthew Siekierski, Serafina Tassi, Anika Thoresen. Seniors: George Aigner, Sophie Chahmirzadi, Bella Clarey, Hannah Curran, Parker Fletcher, Gwen Heidank, Landon Keller, Morgan O'Brien, Maisie Sweeney, Jeremiah Young.
The true star of this production is the iconic music, featuring the greatest hits of ABBA. The recognizable music will be performed live by BHS musicians: Sophomores Joe Caltagirone and Tristan Carroccia, Juniors Ben Avila, Grant Hibbeler and Sarah Schroeder, and Seniors Mia Chahmirzadi and Aidan Perrault.
