Batavia Indoor Market Season Kicks Off In November
The indoor market in Batavia will feature more than 20 vendors weekly through mid-May.

BATAVIA, IL — Batavia will soon make the shift from an outdoor farmers market to one inside a warm space.
The final Batavia Farmers Market, which happens outdoors each Saturday on North River Street between Wilson and Spring streets, will take place concurrently with BatFest on Oct. 28.
A week later, from 9 a.m. to noon on Nov. 4, organizer Batavia MainStreet will kick off the start of the indoor market season at The Dock, 150 First St.

Every week after, the indoor market will take place at Grainology BrewStillery, 131 Flinn St. and continue there each Saturday through mid-May.
More than 20 vendors will set up weekly at the indoor market to sell a variety of locally grown produce, farm-raised meat, eggs, fresh baked goods, coffee and products — think: hot sauce, jam, CBD products for people and dogs, potted holiday bulbs, wreaths and more.

To participate, vendors are required to grow, harvest or produce at least 75 percent of their products. Each week's participants will be posted about on the Batavia Farmer's Market Facebook and Instagram pages, @bataviafarmersmarket.
Customers part of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program will be able to use their benefits at the indoor market to purchase any approved food items. Shoppers can also double their SNAP benefits with Link Match, a dollar-for-dollar match for purchasing fresh local fruits and vegetables.
