Batavia Man, 26, Dead After Being Struck by Vehicle Outside Home

Police said a 29-year-old North Aurora woman who was visiting the man's house struck him with her vehicle.

BATAVIA TOWNSHIP, IL - A 26-year-old Batavia man is dead after he was struck by a vehicle outside his home, police said Monday. The incident occurred at about 2:45 a.m. on Monday when the man was outside his home with a 29-year-old North Aurora woman who was visiting the home. At some point, the woman struck the man with her vehicle, police said.

Jeremy Kostrzewa, of the 2S800 block of Meadowview Road in Batavia, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a news release from the Kane County Sheriff's Office. The North Aurora woman was taken to an area hospital.

No charges have been filed and the incident remains under investigation, police said.
