Batavia Man Charged With Possessing Child Porn
The 23-year-old man was arrested this past week following a six-month investigation into the possession of child porn charges.
BATAVIA, IL — A 23-year-old Batavia man has been charged with eight counts of possession of child pornography following an investigation by local authorities, Batavia police said Thursday. Corey J. McDonald, of the 1200 block of Brandywine Circle, was arrested this past week.
The Batavia Police Department launched an investigation into McDonald in March after receiving a tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children, a national network of task forces that investigates child abuse and exploitation over the Internet, according to a news release from the Batavia Police Department.
Authorities issued an arrest warrant on Monday and McDonald turned himself into Batavia police on Wednesday, according to police.

He was transported to the Kane County Jail.
