Batavia Man Missing For Over 2 Months: Police

BATAVIA, IL — The Batavia Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a a 53-year-old man who is missing, authorities said. Byron A. Vaughan, of the 1200 block of East Wilson Street, has been missing since June 10, 2019, when he was released from a Chicago-area medical facility, his family members told police.

His family reported him missing July 18. Authorities say Vaughan has several medical conditions that require him to take medication. Several leads have been generated into Vaughan's whereabouts, but he has still not been located, according to police.

No foul play is suspected, police said.

Vaughan is described as a black man who is about 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs around 250 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

Authorities are asking for the public's help in locating Vaughan. Anyone who knows where he may be are asked to call the Batavia Police Department at 630-454-2500.
