Batavia Man Said He Was 'Sent By Ghosts' To Family's Home
Joseph Kalkstein, 48, also allegedly told police the pills he had on him were "snacks."

BATAVIA, IL --- A Batavia man is in custody after he was found sitting on a Geneva family's porch and saying, "The ghosts sent me." The family's teen son said he saw the man, later identified as Joseph Kalkstein, 48, outside of their home around 2:20 a.m., Chicago Tribune reports.
The boy's father then approached Kalkstein, who said he would be back the next day. The father alerted police, who pursued Kalskstein and found him in the first block of Daniels Street in Batavia. There, Kalkstein was allegedly found with a bag of Vicodin and other pills, which police say he referred to as "snacks."
Police charged Kalkstein with possession of a controlled substance and disorderly conduct and banned him from contact with the family whose Geneva home he was found at. He is set to appear in court again on January 9.
