Batavia Motorcyclist Seriously Injured In Head-On Crash
A car collided head-on with a motorcycle in rural Kane County on Friday morning. The car's driver has been cited following the crash.

KANE COUNTY, IL – A 53-year-old Batavia man was seriously injured in a two-vehicle head-on crash in rural Kane County on Friday morning, police said. The crash happened on Perry Road in the curve between Harter Road and Miner Road in unincorporated Kaneville Township at about 6:15 a.m. on Friday. An initial investigation shows a Nissan Sentra was heading east on Perry Road when it traveled into the westbound lane of traffic and hit a Harley Davidson motorcycle head-on, according to a news release from the Kane County Sheriff's Office.
The vehicles collided in the westbound lane of traffic. The motorcycle driver, Kenneth Ford, 53, of the 1200 block of Hillsboro Road in Batavia, was taken to Delnor Hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries, police said.
Ford was wearing his helmet at the time of the crash, according to authorities.

The driver of the Nissan, Jose Becerra, 48, of the 700 block of North 7th Street in Rochelle, was not injured in the crash. He has been cited for improper lane usage.

Kane County Sheriff’s Office deputies and members of the Kane County Accident Reconstruction Team are continuing to investigate the crash.
