Batavia School District 101 Announces 2022 Hall Of Honor Inductees

The eight new Batavia High School Hall of Honor inductees will be honored at a ceremony in September.

BATAVIA, IL — On Thursday, Sept. 15, 2022, Batavia Public School District 101 will welcome eight inductees into its Hall of Honor at Batavia High School. Inductees were chosen from a list of individuals that were nominated in two main categories: BHS Alumni and non-BHS Alumni-Special Recognition. Non-BHS Alumni are then broken out into two sub-categories, BPS101 Staff and Friend of BPS101. These recognitions are to honor and commemorate the individuals who have excelled and provided our students with examples of what to aspire to be.

Nominations are collected throughout the year. Annually, a committee of volunteers is charged with selecting the inductees. The Hall of Honor Committee proudly announces this year’s recipients:

Batavia High School Alumni
Megan Reed (Class of 1982)
Terry Cahill (Class of 1976)
Pamela Foelske (Class of 1980)
Dave Brown (Class of 1972)
Johnny Mauer (Class of 1922)
David Shumway (Class of 2003)

The BPS101 Hall of Honor induction ceremony will take place at the Batavia Fine Arts Centre (BFAC) located at Batavia High School on September 15, 2022. Additional information about the event and past inductees can be found on the school district's website.

The BPS Hall of Honor was founded to promote pride in Batavia Public Schools and to honor alumni, faculty, staff, and friends who have made outstanding accomplishments in their communities and their lives since they have been associated with BPS101. These recognitions are to honor and commemorate the individuals who have excelled and provided our students with examples of what to aspire to be.
