City of Batavia Seeks Alderman Applications for Ward 1 Seat

First Ward Alderman Scott Salvati announced on December 2nd that he is resigning from the
Batavia City Council, effective on December 16, because he is moving to Elburn. The Mayor is
seeking applicants to fill the vacancy and has asked all interested citizens to email letters at
jschielk@cityofbatavia.net by 5:00 PM on Monday, December 9, 2019. Applicants must be
residents of Ward 1 with at least one year of residency in that Ward. All applicants will be
interviewed at the Committee of the Whole meeting on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at 7:00 PM
in the City of Batavia Council Chambers, 100 N Island Ave.
