Batavia Shop To Participate In Stationery Store Day

BATAVIA, IL — Stationery Store Day has arrived, and a Batavia paper store is participating in festivities Saturday.

Much like Record Store Day or Independent Bookstore Day, Stationery Store Day carves out one day a year when lovers of paper and writing utensils can celebrate their favorite type of store. The event is held annually on the first Saturday of August.

Stores across the Chicagoland area are partnering for a passport rally, offering freebies throughout the day, while supplies last.

In Batavia, Paper Love Collective, one of this year's tenants of the Batavia Boardwalk Shops, is participating. The shop will have a do-it-yourself print station, offer a gift with purchase and sell tote bags.

The event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
