Batavia Triathlon, Kids Races Set For June 10

The event includes a swim through the waters of Harold Hall Quarry Beach, a bike ride, a run, and an after party with free pizza.

BATAVIA, IL -- The 2018 Experience Triathlon Batavia is set to take off for its 15th run on June 10. Competitors will start with a 400-meter swim at Harold Hall Quarry Beach before conquering a rugged 14.7-mile bike course and a four-mile run. Phew.

Running concurrent with the Experience Triathlon (ET) is a duathlon that begins with the bike course and concludes with the run.

Kids can get in on the fun and challenge their competitive spirits too. The event will feature a the ET Batavia Splash and Dash, a running and swimming race that is geared for children ages 7 to 15.

For children ages 3 to 8, everyone's a winner in the ET Batavia Kids Dash, a fun run in which every participant gets a medal and a cookie!

Athletes and spectators alike can end the day at an after-party and awards ceremony with music, a raffle, and refreshments that include beer and free pizza.
