Batavia Woman Accused Of Running Over Pedestrian, Biting Cop

Police say the woman stole a phone, ran a woman over, and bit a cop.

BATAVIA, IL — A Batavia woman faces felony charges after she allegedly used her car to plow into a female pedestrian after an altercation. Jill Vance, 35, of the 600 block of Kingsley Ct., has been charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and aggravated battery to a peace officer in connection with the June 9 incident, Kane County Chronicle reports.

Police say Vance first asked to borrow a cellphone from the victim, a Batavia woman, near the intersection of Miller Ct. and Violet Lane. Vance then allegedly walked off with the cellphone. The victim then followed Vance on foot, police say, before Vance got back into her car.

Vance then struck the victim with her car and ran her over, according to Kane County Chronicle.
