BatFest In Batavia: Check Out The 2023 Event Lineup

BATAVIA, IL — It wouldn't be October in Batavia without BatFest, and this year, the Halloween-themed event is set to take place Oct. 28.

Various activities of ghoulish fun are planned from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is "sure to be a great time," according to organizers.

With BatFest a little more than a month away, organizers released a list of activities scheduled. Here's a look at what to expect of the day:

• 10 a.m. — Show off your Costume in the BatFest Community Parade
• 10 a.m. to noon — Downtown Trick or Treating
• 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. — Final Farmers’ Market of the season
• 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. — Incredible Bats at Wilson Street Mercantile
• Wazio Pumpkin Roll hosted by Boy Scout Troop 6
• 10 a.m. to noon — Magician and balloons at intersection of First Street and Shumway Avenue
• 10:45 a.m. — BatFest Stories at Batavia Public Library Reading Garden
• 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. — Reptile show at Congregational Church of Batavia
• 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. — BatFest booths and performances at Peg Bond Center
• 12:15 p.m. — Costume contest at Peg Bond Center sponsored by Arlo.Hendrix
• 1 p.m. — Batavia Animal Clinic pet costume contest at Peg Bond Center
