Burglar Targeting Funway Family Entertainment Center Arrested: PD
Police believe the North Aurora man entered the building through an unsecured door several times.

BATAVIA, IL — Batavia police apprehended the man who burglarized the Funway Family Entertainment Center several times since mid-July, officials said.
Christopher M. Covelli, of the 100 block of Dee Road in North Aurora, was charged with seven counts of burglary, one count of possession of burglary tools and one count of theft.
Officers were dispatched to Funway, at 1335 S. River St., at about 7:03 a.m. Thursday for a report of a burglary in progress. Police made contact with the suspect and arrested him without incident.

Officials allege the 30-year-old had been stealing from the vending machines "numerous other times" this summer.
There is no indication the man forced his way into the building. Police said they believe he entered through an unsecured door before normal business hours while cleaning crews were on the premise.

Covelli is being held at the Kane County jail while he awaits his next court appearance.
