A Celebration of Collaborative Play & Discovery

What is a Julia Robinson Math Festival? Forget everything you know about math competitions. A Julia Robinson Math Festival (JRMF) isn’t about speed or getting the "right" answer on a test. It is a festive, non-competitive event where students explore the richness and beauty of mathematics through puzzles, games, and manipulative play.

Why Attend? We believe that all students and families should have access to the joy of mathematics. Whether your child is a math enthusiast or someone who hasn't found their "spark" yet, the festival offers a low-pressure environment to build problem-solving confidence and logical thinking skills.

World-Class Leadership: This festival is led by Amy Trujillo, Head of School at Vanguard, the Illinois State Director for Math Kangaroo, and a trained Math Circle specialist from the University of Notre Dame.

Help Us Spread the Joy: We are on a mission to bring this experience to every neighborhood. If you love what you see at our festival, we can help you start a Math Festival or Math Circle in your own area or school! Talk to Amy during the event to learn how we can support your community.
