City Of Batavia: Water Use / Cross Connection Control Survey

See the latest announcement from the City of Batavia.

November 5, 2021

Batavia’s Water Utility supplies millions of gallons of safe, clean water every day to our customers. The utility is proud its water quality exceeds U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards and Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) regulations. Batavia’s Cross Connection Control Program (CCP) helps in this effort by making sure we’ve identified potential sources of cross contamination between drinking water and non-drinking water systems so that they can become part of our backflow prevention assembly installation and annual testing process.

Per the IEPA, we are required to perform a mandatory “survey” of water customers every few years to help protect our public water system. The purpose of the survey is to identify any existing or potential cross connections, catalog existing connections, and verify backflow preventers have been installed and tested.

Aqua Backflow manages our program and will be mailing postcards to all water customers in the coming weeks.  The postcard will include a unique site ID # for your address.  Please visit https://app.trackmybackflow.com/watersurvey.a5w within 30 days of receiving the postcard,  enter your Site ID # «SiteID» and complete the survey.
