The menu for Gammon Coach House will include what Mr. With calls comfort food: salads, soups, burgers, homemade Neapolitan pizzas and grilled sandwiches.

City Aids Batavia Park District in Fox River Trail Improvement

The Council on Tuesday night approved giving the Batavia Park District $75,000 in Tax Increment Finance (TIF) funds to help them improve the Fox River Trail near downtown River Street. Creating a connection between the Fox River Trail and North River Street will eliminate current traffic through a parking lot, making the Trail safer and easier to access.

Alderman Dave Brown said he supports the effort to enhance the trail along River street and make it more visible.

"We got a beautiful asset down here that we need to bring back to life,”  Brown said.

Mooseheart Annexation Hearing Continued to Another Date (Again)

Residents will have to keep waiting to hear the finalized details on the Mooseheart Annexation Agreement.

On Tuesday the public hearing for the annexation agreement was opened and then immediately continued to July 18. City officials said they are continuing to work out details with Mooseheart on the agreement, which would annex 470 acres of the Mooseheart property into Batavia.

The hearing was supposed to formally begin June 20, but the hearing was just opened and continued to Tuesday because the agreement was not ready yet.
